Are pets afraid of acupuncture?

No, most love it.  The Chinese developed acupuncture more than 3000 years ago and it has, like fine wine, gotten better over the years.  Acupuncture needles are thinner than those used for sewing, and much thinner than those used for shots, so they cause minimal sensation.  Normally, pets relax during acupuncture for medical problems unresponsive to traditional treatment, including paralysis, hip dysplasia, incontinence and eye disease.

Does Chiropractic treatment work on animals?

A resounding yes!  Chiropractic treatment can be used on any animal with a spine.  It works the same as it does on people and in many cases even better.  The exception being that some of our patients are more tense and defensive.  But maybe some people do bite their chiropractors!

Oops!  Is the cat peeing on your bed?

Your cat may be saying, "Help I'm having a urinary tract problem."  To help your pet (and your bed), we examine the urine and the cat.  Then, we suggest the most appropriate therapy, ranging from antibiotics and special diets to herbs and homeopathics.  We will help you do what it takes to heal your pet, including finding a medicine your cat tolerates whether it is a pill. liquid or powder.  You both deserve to sleep peacefully.

Can Buffy benefit from the $50 million a year spent by the US Government on alternative medicine research?

Definitely.  Research into acupuncture, herbs and other forms of holistic medicine is applicable to pets as well as to people.  From Spot to Spike to Buffy, your pet can benefit from the newest treatment for cancer, pain and skin disease.  We're happy to help you get double the benefit of your tax dollar by discussing how the latest  in alternative health research can help your pet.
